These watercolours are part of an ongoing, current project that I’m calling We are vessels of water, for now. They are rooted in the themes of the body, of pain and fatigue, contrasts and contradiction. The figures are ambiguous, almost ghostly, yet grounded. Perhaps they are embodied states rather than portraits—archetypal or internal figures rather than external ones.
